The minutes of former meetings were read by Secretary
Woodward, and approved.
Major Jones, the Treasurer, read a very
interesting report of the condition of the Society, and
gave a happy account of a trip made to the Soldiers'

Society, on the invitation of Colonel Brown, the
Commandant at the Home. His report was received
with expressions of satisfacton, and ordered filed.
On motion of Major Jones, the chair appointed a
committee of three, to nominate officers for the ensuing
year; the committee was General Baldwin, Major Jones,
and Captain De Bus. These gentlemen retired
from the parlor for a short time, and presented the
following names to the Society: For President,
General M. F. Force; for Vice Presidents, General
A. Hickenlooper, General F. W. Moore, Colonel P. P.
Lane, Surgeon A. E. Heighway, Major Frank J. Jones;

Treasurer, Major George B. Fox; Executive
Commettee, Colonel L. M. Dayton, Colonel A. E.
Collins, LIeutenant A. H. Mattox, Captain Henry De Bus,
Major E. C. Dawes. Several of the gentlemen
nominated declined, for private reasons, and on motion
it was decided to elect by ballo9t. Other
nominations were made, and the balloting proceeded with
the following result:

General Manning F.
Force.
VICE-PRESIDENTS:
