My name is Sharon Wick...

I live in the most Northeastern part of Ohio in a little town called Conneaut.
Conneaut is in Ashtabula County, Ohio.
Lake Erie is 1/2 mile from my house so I have no excuse to go down to the beach and
get a great suntan each year.

OR DO I?

I guess I do.... I really should get outside more often but....
my Passion is Genealogy Research.

Why?

It all started when I found out that I was related to Wyatt Earp.
Now I know where I get my personality. hahahah
He was a strong willed person who didn't take any guff from anybody.
His family was Number One and he didn't like Thieves, Rustlers, and Liars or anyone that
thought they was going to get 'over' on anyone.

So... anyway... Here I am in Ohio.....
I started out in Illinois where I was born and raised but after my first divorce,
I got the "call of the wild".  I moved my family to California
(funny but Wyatt did the same thing and I just now noticed it as I am writing this).
I lived there and met a nice man who bought me my first Harley Davidson.
Wow!!!  I just loved it!!  I rode fast and I rode hard.
In between riding.. I raised my kids and my "X" raised them too.
We had shared parenting if you know what that is.
AND I did genealogy research.  I just had to find out how I was
related to Wyatt.  My great great grandmother was an Earp.

Then .... I met a man... he was a truck driver.
I always said I would never marry a truck driver.  I wanted someone
that would be home every night.
WELL........................
I married one.   He is the best thing that ever happened to me.
Me being a single mother.... I was used to having my 'space"
It worked out just fine.

He moved me and my youngest son (all the rest had left home)
to Ohio.  After being in busy wall to wall people California, I have
learned to love Ohio.  I never, in my wildest dream, ever thought
about Ohio, much less moving here.

This little town of Conneaut has around 13,000 people.
Everyone knows your name.  It is wonderful!!
I just love going down the street, or to the store or to the park and
someone will say "Hi Sharon".  I just love it!

I am a Substitute Teacher's Aid in the local schools.
Talk about "Irons in the Fire"
I have an afghan, quilt & doily that I am trying to finish.
I just have to be busy all the time.
