     A thriving village, situated on Twin Creek, about ten miles from Eaton, nearly south-east.  Acknowledgment of plat was proven June 12, 1817.  Founders, Jacob Gift, Nicholas Gift, Martin Saylor and Abraham Wimmer.  Sixty-four lots in the original plat.  Acknowledgment before Isaac Stephens, J. P.   Census taken in June 1875.
