WILLIAM SNODGRASS, farmer, P. O. Piqua; was born in Miami Co., Ohio, Aug. 24, 1826, and is a son of Thomas and Lucinda (Meighers) Snodgrass.  Thomas was born in Virginia Jan. 9, 1795 and Lucinda, near Pittsburgh, Penn., Apr. 24, 1805.  They were among the early pioneers of Miami Co., where Thomas followed farmer chiefly during life, which ended in 1870.  They were the parents of eight children - six are now living, of whom William is the eldest.  He was raised to agricultural pursuits, and obtained a fair education; he purchased his present farm of 160 acres, in Secs. 8 and 9, Sprig Creek Township, a part of which he has owned for the past twenty-nine years; in his early life, he taught school a few years, and since residing on his present farm, filled the official duty of Justice of he Peace seventeen years.  Township Trustee, etc.  The marriage of William Snodgrass and Eunice Sanders was celebrated Mar. 13, 1851.  They by this marriage have had six children, three are now living - Henrietta, now Mrs. W. F. Sims.  Lucinda, now Mrs. H. Houser, and Franklin.  Henrietta, when at home, through respect to and for remembrance of her ancestors and friends, accumulated locks of hair, from which a beautiful wreath was manufactured; this is now an ornament to the room and is highly prized.
