OHIO NEWS:
     In Wayne township, Clinton county, July 24th, Mrs. James Morgan, about fifty years old, fell down in her yard and died in a half an hour of heart disease.

     D. P. Chance, son of Esquire David Chance, formerly of Sabina, Clinton county, about eighteen years of age, was drowned on the 27th of June last, while bathing in a stream near Redfield, Dallas county, Iowa.

Golden Wedding

Mr. and Mrs. Albert Jacks, of Bowersville, had been married 50 years Tuesday and the celebrated the “golden day” appropriately with a family party.
     The Jackses chose a quiet day rather than to entertaining with a reception.  They heard from their wide circle of friends, however, by means of flowers, gifts, and cards.
     Members of the family went to their home in the evening taking a basket of yellow gladioli and chrysanthemums and refreshments.
     Mrs. Jacks was Anna Carter and is related to the Carter and Pidgeon families of this vicinity.  Mr. Jacks is a brother of Mrs. John Black, of near Wilmington.
     Those of the family who spent the evening with them were Mr. and Mrs. John Black and daughter, Helen Elizabeth, Mr. and Mrs. A.D. Black and son, John,  Mr. and Mrs. Homer Pidgeon and children, Charles, Dorothy, and Betty,  Mr. and Mrs. Persi Pugsley daughters, Jean, Charlotte, Laura Belle and Amy Lou, Mr. and Mrs. Elza Hughes, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Pidgeon,  Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Terrell of near New Vienna,
     Miss Mary Carter, George and Jesse Carter of Sabina, Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Ream of Bowersville.
