Welcome!!  My Name is Sharon Wick and I am the host for Ashtabula County, Ohio.
I have been working on the Northeast corner of Ashtabula for several years and I have decided to take on the WHOLE county.  I will be working on it as time allows and I WELCOME any genealogy related contributions.

Organized in 1811, Ashtabula County is the Largest county in Ohio.  It consists of 723 square miles and it is located on Shores of Lake Erie, which is a major loading area for ships of the Great Lakes.  The county seat is Jefferson, Ohio.  It is bordered by Pennsylvania on the East, Lake County, Ohio to the West, and Trumbull County, Ohio to the South. 
Ashtabula County is also know for it's many Vineyards, is know for manufacturing Rubber products, and covered bridges.
