  Marion Twp. -
ALEXANDER F. IRICK was born in Virginia, in the year 1819.  His parents, Jonathan and Mary Irick, died in Fairfield County, this state.  They had eight children —John F. George W., Isabella, Alexander F., Elizabeth, Julia, Diana and Mary.  Mr. Irick married Elizabeth Kiggins, who was born in this state, in the year 1820 ,and whose parents, Jonathan and Elizabeth Kiggins, died in Mercer County.  She is one of a family of ten -Minerva J., Lewis, Mary, Rosanna, James, Margaret, Elizabeth, Catharine, Harriet and Charlotte.  Following are the names of the children of Alexander F. and Elizabeth Irick John F., William L., Mary C., (Theressa and Francis C., deceased), James.I., Minda, Alexander, Elizabeth, Dorixa, Jack M. and Eliza E. Mr. Irick has held several township offices.

JAMES I. IRICK.- While an infant, Mr. Irick was brought to this county, in 1845, by his parents, Alexander and Elizabeth Irick, who formerly lived in Fairfield and Mercer Counties.  Mr. I. was born in Mercer County in 1845.  His wife is Melvina, daughter of Wm. M. and Mahala Ditto.   Children of James l. and Melvina Irick - Emma A., Wilson, and Frank.  Mrs. I. was born in Brown County, in 1845.

  Ottawa Twp. -
JAMES IRVINE was born at Jamestown, Pennsylvania, Nov. 28 1842, and came to Allen County in 1863.  His parents are William and Sarah J.  He has three sisters living - Mrs. Eliza Clapp, Mrs. Lettie Slichter, and Mrs. Amelia Chrysler.  His wife is a daughter of Robert McKelly.  She was born at Upper Sandusky, Aug. 28, 1846.  She has two brothers living - Robert A. and James McKelly.

Ottawa Twp. -
LEONARD W. JACKSON, son of Elijah and Hamintal Jackson, and his wife Amanda, daughter of Jacob and Ann Booze, were both born in Knox County, the former on July 14, 1836, and the latter on Feb. 4, 1838.  They have one daughter, Jessie Leota, and one son, Charlie W.  Mr. J's brothers and sisters are Mary Elizabeth, Samuel H., Freegift, David St. Clair, Henry A., John R., and Adelia E.  Mrs. J's brothers and sisters are, Morgan, Sarah A., Eliza, Henry, Christopher, Alexander, Catharine, Demas, Aminda, Andrew Jackson and Elizabeth.

Elijah & Hannital Jackson Family in 1850 Census - Liberty Twp., Knox Co., OH with the following children:  Elizabeth M., Samuel, Freegift, David, Alex, John and Leonard R.
Found Lenard and Amanda Jackson in 1870 Census - Perry Township, Allen Co., OH.  No children listed.
Found Leonard and Amanda Jackson in 1900 Census - Spencer Twp., Spencerville Village, Allen Co., OH
Birthdays noted in Census Record are July 1836 and Feb. 1839 respectively.  Both were born in Ohio and both persons parents were born in Pennsylvania.
Also:  Death Certificate lists the following:
Lenard W. Jackson of 419 W. Spring St., Lima, OH (Daughter Jessie and husband's home), born July 14, 1836, Knox Co., OH, died May 21, 1912 aged 76 yrs. 9 mos. 12 ds.  Occupation: Wagon Repairer. Father Eliza Jackson of Knox Co., OH; Mother Hamital Hobbs of Knox Co., OH.  Informant: Geo. Landis of Lima, Ohio of whom Lenard resided in 1910, a widower.  Burial: Woodlawn on May 23, 1912.   Jackson Twp. -
JAMES JENNINGS, son of Gideon and Grace Jennings, was born near Steubenville, Jan. 12, 1799.  He married Elizabeth Williams, daughter of Abel and Sarah WilliamsMrs. J. was born in Green County, Pennsylvania, on the 16th of July, A. D. 1800.  They have eight children—Lucinda, Lewis,_Rezin, Adaline, Thomas, Abel, Sarah and JohnMr. Jennings came to Allen County in 1837, two years after his parents came.  His brothers and sisters are Drusilla, Mary, William, Aaron, John, Gideon, David, Jonathan and RebeccaMrs. J. has six brothers and two sisters——Thomas, Benjamin, Levi, Aaron, John, Moses, Mary and Sarah.

  Richland Twp. -
LEWIS JENNINGS was born June 20, 1828, in Tuscarawas County, and came to Allen County in 1836, with his parents, James and Elizabeth Jennings.  His wife, Mary Ann, is a daughter of Martin and Margaret Everett.  She was born in this county on the 9th of September, 1845.  Her father came from Carroll County in 1838.  Her mother is from Trumbull County.  She has a brother, Aaron Everett.  Children of James and Elizabeth Jennings: Lucinda, Lewis, Reason, Adaline, Thomas, Abel, John and Sarah.  Lewis and Mary Ann Jennings have nine children: Hiram L., James B., Ann, John M., Francis M., Benjamin F., Alfred, Clara and EdithMr. Jennings says: “My parents came from Pennsylvania to Ohio when they were children.  My father is 76, my mother 75 years old; both are now living in this county.  My grandfather, Gideon Jennings, died in this county at the age of 75; his wife lived to the age of 96.  My mother's father, Abel Williams, and her mother, both lived 87 years.  I recollect when this part of the country was all a wilderness.   Hauled wheat to Freemont in 1840.”

  German Twp. -
JESSE J. JOHN, son of Griffith and Rachel, and brother of Sarah, Melissa, Emily, Ethan, Yamsey, Abiah, Martha and Paulina, was married to Mary Roush.  Their children are Griffith, Martha, Paulina, Frank F., Jesse C., John E., Charles E., Wilbur F., Eliza A., Letta A., and Isaac N.  Mr. John was born Jan. 6, 1827, in Ross County, whence his parents removed to this county in 1832.  His wife was born in Juniata County, Pennsylvania, Dec. 17, 1835.  Her parents, Jacob M. and Hannah Roush, came to Allen County from Pennsylvania in 1849.  Mrs. John has two brothers and three sisters - Henry , Eliza, Joseph, Anna, and Melva.

  Ottawa Twp. -
ELIAS H. JOHNS was born in Fauquier County, Virginia, June 11th, 1834.  His parents, Elias and Adaline removed to Ohio in 1852, and came to Allen County in 1866.  Mr. J. was engaged in the war of the Rebellion, and when the war closed came to this county, and commenced the Grocery business, which he still continues.  His wife is Julia A. E., daughter of William and Rebecca Cheney, who came from Marion County in 1864, and whose children are Julia, Samuel, Amanda, Ebenezer, Francis, and Henry.  Julia was born in Union County, 7th Nov., 1837.  Mr. Johns has four brothers - Thomas, Samuel, Nathaniel, and Lewis, and one sister, Eliza.  The children of Elias and Julia A. E. Johns are, Sarah A., Henrietta (deceased), Silas H., and Septa J.
