NOTE: Life is full of changes and changes
are what is happening here at Ohio Genealogy Express.
It is back to just me doing the transcribing and updating along with the
wonderful contributors of data who, incidentally do some transcribing of
their own..
In all reality, things will probably move a little faster now.
Keep checking back.
Thank you to all who have contributed to OGExpress.
It is greatly appreciated!
With this... I am doing my very best to keep this
site updated every day.
I do need a little help from my viewers.
I keep track of what everyone is looking at and try to keep up with it.
If I see someone is looking at Adams County, I try to update it ASAP
If I see someone is looking at Sandusky County, I try to update it ASAP.
Please do me a favor and sign my guestbook
and put the areas and names you are researching. I will check it
periodically and try to help you find things for your trees.
This is what Ohio Genealogy Express is all about.
FREE GENEALOGY RESEARCH.
I am not in this for the money. This is My Contribution to Humanity.
Thanks to all who visit.
Sincerely, Sharon Wick

AUGUST, 2010 NEWS
Hi All!
Can you believe this
website is
Two (2) Years Old?
Who'd a thunk?
Time sure flies when you're having fun, doesn't it?
I almost forgot! To me it is a labor of love and I am
doing what I do best - Helping people find their Roots.
I've been trying to get info on here
between doing summer chores and meetings.
Will be concentrating on keeping all requests answered.
Just a word of caution....
I would rather not do lookups. Unless it
involves a History that is not yet had the biographies
indexed. I will search the index.
If you need something transcribed from the biographical
indexes, I will get right on it. Otherwise... I need
the time to keep updating the website.
If you need sections of histories transcribed, I will get
right on it.
If you need something that is incomplete completed, I will
do that, also.
I am just trying to keep
this site moving along as fast as my little fingers can
type.
Still doctoring my husband.
In and out of the doctor's office, however the
emergency room need has slowed down now that I am back home.
I am sure he will be better eventually.
No more cancer!!! That is a big PLUS!!!
Keep your eyes open for new
updates.
I color code them so that you can see what I am adding for
current month.
You can see on this index page what has been updated and
also you can see on the UPDATES
PAGE.
Still keeping fingers crossed and
saying prayers that my beloved husband is on his way to
recovery.
Still.......The Harley is sitting in the
garage waiting for me to find time to put in a new starter
gear, change the oil and rebuild the solenoid. I have the parts, just need the time to do it.
Then I will be doing a little riding. It will be more
fun to visit libraries and such on the old Harley. (1972
Shovelhead) Talk about history? It is getting to
be an antique. I have to figure out how to carry the
laptop without it vibrating apart. Those old Harleys
vibrate a lot and so I will have to put cushions around the
computer. :-)
Me? I am doing pretty
good for the shape I'm in. I just keep on typing.
Typing everything I can get my hands on.
As always...
Work on Ohio Genealogy Express will be going on as usual and
as I said before, I will be
transcribing everything I can get my hands on making
requests my top priorities.
Good Luck in your Research and.... and please keep those
prayers coming.
As always...... "Always Transcribing and Always Free!"

OHIO was admitted to Statehood
on March 1, 1803
OHIO's State Flag was adopted in 1902. The Ohio Burgee, as the
swallowtail design is properly called, was designed by John Eisemann.
The large blue triangle represents Ohio's hills and valleys, and the
stripes represent the original states of the union; the 4 stars added to
the peak of the triangle symbolize that Ohio was the 17th state admitted
to the union. The white circle with its red center not only
represents the "O" in Ohio, but also suggests Ohio's famous nickname, "The
Buckeye State"
The origin of state's name
was from the Iroquois Indian word for "good river".
The Capitol of Ohio is COLUMBUS, Franklin Co.,
Ohio

State Symbols:
- State animal: White-tailed Deer
- State bird: Cardinal
- State capital: Columbus

I am in the PROCESS OF ADDING the Counties I have worked on in ILLINOIS

Motto for the Day:
"You are only a loser if you give up!"
Thought for Tomorrow:
"Don't let the idiosyncrasies of others bog you down"
Thought for the Rest of My Life:
"Today is the First Day of the Rest of My Life"
One more thought.......
"Don't forget to take time to "Smell the Roses"
because you just never know what life has in store for you and it would
be a shame to miss something just because you decided to put it off for
another time."
