NOTE: Life is full of changes and changes
are what is happening here at Ohio Genealogy Express.
It is back to just me doing the transcribing and updating along with the
wonderful contributors of data who, incidentally do some transcribing of
their own..
In all reality, things will probably move a little faster now.
Keep checking back.
Thank you to all who have contributed to OGExpress.
It is greatly appreciated!
With this... I am doing my very best to keep this
site updated every day.
I do need a little help from my viewers.
I keep track of what everyone is looking at and try to keep up with it.
If I see someone is looking at Adams County, I try to update it ASAP
If I see someone is looking at Sandusky County, I try to update it ASAP.
Please do me a favor and sign my guestbook
and put the areas and names you are researching. I will check it
periodically and try to help you find things for your trees.
This is what Ohio Genealogy Express is all about.
FREE GENEALOGY RESEARCH.
I am not in this for the money. This is My Contribution to Humanity.
Thanks to all who visit.

UPDATE!!!
5/21/2009

Hi All!
Wow!.... The warm weather is finally here!!
Last year around the beginning of Summer, I was creating this
website and didn't hardly get outside at all. I missed most of
the summer!
This year, thanks to my wonderful son Michael, I have a laptop
computer and wireless internet. I can and at this moment, sit
on my deck and work on the website while getting fresh air and a
tan. Woooo Hooo!!!
I need to make a little hutch to put the computer in if I plan to
get tanned on the upper half of my body though. I have the
umbrella up on the table and stick my legs in the sun while I am
transcribing. the little hutch will keep the computer out of
the sun while I tan to top part of me.
Hey....where there is a will, there is a way.
Now if I could just figure out how to mount it on my Harley, I would
have it made. heheheh I haven't been riding the
Harley yet this year but I intend to take it to the libraries when I
do my research for more data. I have these nice saddle bags to
hold everything in.
I have uploaded more data so be sure to check my
UPDATES page for new data. I
am presently working on marriages for Washington and Franklin
counties.
If you have anything for me to look for when I go to the Geneva,
Ohio Library (for Ohio), please
send an email to
ohiogeneaogyexpress@yahoo.com and I will do the best I can.
I cannot guarantee anything but I will do the best I can.
REMEMBER: If I don't have what you
want for the states I transcribe, I will try to get it. If I
can't get it .... well... we will just have to keep trying, right?
Watch my updates
page for new stuff just about every day.
Toodles,
Sharon W.,
Yer trusty, dusty transcriber and owner
of Ohio Genealogy Express.

OHIO was admitted to Statehood
on March 1, 1803
OHIO's State Flag was adopted in 1902. The Ohio Burgee, as the
swallowtail design is properly called, was designed by John Eisemann.
The large blue triangle represents Ohio's hills and valleys, and the
stripes represent the original states of the union; the 4 stars added to
the peak of the triangle symbolize that Ohio was the 17th state admitted
to the union. The white circle with its red center not only
represents the "O" in Ohio, but also suggests Ohio's famous nickname, "The
Buckeye State"
The origin of state's name
was from the Iroquois Indian word for "good river".
The Capitol of Ohio is COLUMBUS, Franklin Co.,
Ohio

- State animal: White-tailed Deer
- State bird: Cardinal
